Edo State Gov. met Buhari today to seek for re-election and the death of the young girl, this will blow your mind

President Buhari today met with Edo State Governor,

Godwin Obaseki (GGO): I just met with His Excellency Muhammed Buhari to intimate him on my intention to seek re-election on the platform of our great party,

I mourn the death of quintessential, maverick musician and Edo son, Majek Fashek.

Fashek, who took the world by storm with his enigmatic talent, remains one of the finest cultural icons of his age and would be remembered for his disarming craft and skill.

STATEMENT ON THE DEATH OF A GIRL RAPED IN CHURCH Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100-level student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN). BY EDO SATE GOVERNOR Godwin Obaseki (GGO)

1. I have ordered the Nigeria Police Force ( @PoliceNG) to thoroughly investigate the circumstances that led to the death of Miss Vera Uwaila Omozuwa, a 100-level student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN).

2. The Nigeria Police has been mandated to identify, arrest and prosecute anyone found culpable in her death. The Violence Against Persons (VAP) Law is in effect in our state.

3. Using this law, we would ensure to investigate what exactly transpired and deal decisively with the those found complicit in the dastardly act, whoever they might be. #JusticeForUwa

EDO SATE GOVERNOR Godwin Obaseki (GGO) says that The Comm. for Women Affairs along with members of the State's Gender Office have met with the family of Miss Uwa Omozuwa. We have a track record of tracking down people who attack women and young girls and this case will be no different.

The Violence Against Persons Prohibition (VAPP) Law is already operational in the state, as I have signed it into law earlier in the year. So, we are committed to secure #JusticeForUwa and every other vulnerable person in the state.
