Good Samaritan provides mattress for single father who sleeps on bare floor with his kids

A single father has been supported by a Good Samaritan who took pity on him after learning of his family’s poor living condition.

The man and his four children have been sleeping on the bare floor in their house for years due to his inability to afford a mattress.

His story was shared by a social media group and it attracted some sympathy from members of the public.

After they received the bed, the good Samaritan shared before vs after photos of the man with his kids and said he slept peacefully knowing that the household would no longer lie on the bare floor.

He said; “I slept so well last night knowing that this beautiful family is no longer sleeping on the floor. It can only be God”.

Four persons, including a pregnant woman, on Friday escaped death after a commercial bus plunged into a drainage in Kaduna due to over speeding.

The commercial bus which conveyed passengers from Kaduna Central market, by Ahmadu Bello Way was in full-speed when it lost control and approached the popular Peugeot traffic junction, by the Television Garage, Kaduna.

An eye witness, a police traffic officer, Sergeant Thomas Akuna told DAILY POST that the driver was lucky, because there was no oncoming vehicle in front or behind.

“I watched carefully as the bus was coming with full speed from Kaduna north, and was going towards Gonin Gora in Chikun Local Government Area of the state. All of a sudden, I heard a loud sound.” Thomas said

Also speaking, one of the passengers who identified himself as Mrs Rhoda Aligema said she went to Kaduna Central market gate to buy fish for resale. She said, while she was inside the bus, she kept advising the driver against over speeding, but he wouldn’t listen.

“The way the driver was speeding, I kept telling him to reduce his speed. Even one of the back seat passengers told him to stop for him to come down if he continued with the speed, but the driver didn’t listen.

“Well, I thank God for sparing my life. I am so happy that I have no bruise. May the name of God be glorified.” She played

Though only two people sustained minor injuries, officials of Kaduna State Traffic and Environmental Law Enforcement ( KASTLEA) who were at the scene were already making frantic efforts to take the injured to a nearby hospital and evacuate the damaged bus from the scene.

Nigerian socialite, Chioma Avril Rowland, became a popular figure after her relationship with top singer, Davido.

The mother of one took to social media via her Instastory to share a video of herself looking very unbothered despite the scrutiny her relationship is facing.


In the videos, Chioma was seen looking good as she took a ride to an unknown destination.

According to an Instagram blog, Gist Merchant, the singer’s latest baby mama is one Larissa Yasmin Lorenco also known as Larissa London, a UK-based makeup artist born and raised in Angola.

A make up artist born and raised in Angola but moved to UK and have been in David’s life since 2017 (swipe to see her in the background of his picture back in 2017).

He sure knows how to shuffle these women at the same time. She went off social media when the rumour initially started and have only just returned to posting again. She posted the above picture to make it seem like she is still pregnant so as to confuse the timeline meanwhile she already delivered a baby boy back in March and this is an old picture. This is her second child as she already has a daughter.

The hookup that resulted in this pregnancy happened in NewYork Mid last year (Summer ‘19) when David was back and forth in US first for his second daughter’s birthday, then a brief Euro tour, back in US for Memorial weekend show, next in Nigeria for his first daughter’s hair product launch and then back in US in June for another show in Philadelphia and branched afterward in NY to give Larissa belle😀 before moving on to ATL for the rest of his trip.

Larissa was also with him at the Afrofest Portugal that happened back in August of 2019.

Davido is currently denying the baby and blocked her so she has no access to him. He is trying to save face with the Chef Chi.

For a while now things haven’t been rosy between them and they have been living apart but with this news now, trust them to come together and do photoshoot, pressing breast and sharing tongue to convince us that Chivido is still going to happen. My guess? Chivido is dead in the water. Fingers crossed.

According to Nigerian Tribune, the explosion happened less than a Kilometer to Akure airport, affecting many rresidents of the Eleyowo community, and also completely destroying a church and school in the area.

Many people who lived within the church premises were said to be injured while some were rescued by the people of the community. The school with boarding facilities was destroyed beyond repair with roofs of all the buildings blown off.

The spot at which the explosion happened cut off the road, hindering vehicular movement.
Folks on social media are arguing that this may be a bomb blast, while others are convinced that this was an asteroid. While some say it may just be an earth quake.

A corps member from Kogi state, Bolufemi Princess Motunrayo, has committed suicide. She was reported to have died after drinking two bottles of sniper, a dangerous insecticide.

The lady, who hailed from Ijumu in Kogi state, was also a graduate of Banking and Finance from Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Daily Trust reports. She was said to have committed suicide on Friday, January 10, leaving behind a suicide note, saying “life is not worth Living”.

The suicide note she left behind read: “I did this because I see nothing worth living. Mummy, I love you. Daddy I love you. Matthew and John, you guys should take care. We will meet where we will depart no more. I Iove you guys”.

In the letter, he wrote: "I will never be happy Harry again”, adding that he would eat his broccoli and clean his room if she comes back. PAY ATTENTION: Download our mobile app to enjoy the latest news update The letter which went viral was seen in Netherton, West Midlands.

On the envelope of the letter, the reason for the action was made clear. It read: “I was asked to write a letter to someone I care about in 2019. I wanted to write to my mum but she died in March.
Maybe it will find its way to heaven.” It should be noted that Kerrie, the boy’s mom, was 34 years old when she had a stroke and died in March, 2019. Since her death, the young boy has been having a strong issue express how he feels.
