The Egyptian footballer, Mohamed Salah Liverpool fc forward has been voted BBC African Footballer of the Year of 2017.
Following in a record number of votes of others, the Liverpool star won ahead of Gabon's Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Guinean Naby Keita, Sadio Mane of Senegal and Nigeria's Victor Moses.
Mohamed Salah(25) told BBC Sport, that he is very happy to win this award. It's always a special feeling when you win something. I feel like I had a great year, so I'm very happy. I would also like to win it next year!".
