Jose Mourinho : fans, players and himself must improve against Liverpool

Jose Mourinho has called on all facets of Manchester United to improve ahead of Sunday’s clash against Liverpool which is going to be strong match.

The Portuguese boss oversaw his side winning 2-0 against Hull City in the EFL Cup Semi-final first leg against Hull City.

The breakthrough came midway through the second half through diminutive Spaniard Juan Mata, before substitute Marouane Fellaini added a crucial second goal with three minutes of regular time remaining.

“I think in the first half, they have to do better, I have to do better, the fans have to do better,” Mourinho told BT Sport in a post-match interview.

“In the second half, everyone improved just a little bit.

“Sunday [against Liverpool], the players need to do better, I need to do better, the fans need to do better.”

Liverpool face Southampton in their own EFL Cup Semi-final tie at St. Mary’s on Thursday, and will have to deal with one day less rest when making the trip to Manchester on Sunday.

Jurgen Klopp’s side currently sit second in the Premier League, five points adrift of leaders Chelsea and five points clear of United.
