Lucas Moura is wanted by Manchester United and Jose Mourinho according to the player's agent.
While at Sao Paulo, the Brazilian was strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford in 2012 before deciding on a switch to PSG.
Wagner Ribeiro - the 24-year-old's representative - now says the United boss is keen to bring the diminutive winger to England after failing to land him while at Real Madrid.
He said: 'Who called Lucas Moura (from Real Madrid), who wanted Lucas Moura wasn't Florentino Perez, it was Mourinho.
'Mourinho was, and is, passionate for Lucas Moura. So much so that now at Manchester he wants Lucas as well.'
The former Chelsea boss has had a busy transfer window, purchasing Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Paul Pogba, spending nearly £150m.
Moving to Ligue 1 four years ago, Moura - who has 36 caps for Brazil - made a slow start to life in Paris but has impressed with his skill and dribbling ability and netted 13 goals in 55 games last season.
